Strictly Vinyl Sessions invites you to its Boogie & Bowl Christmas Party on Friday the 9th of December, at Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes in the basement of Tavistock Hotel, Russell Square, 2 minutes from Russell Square station.

The venue has played host to DJs such as Norman Jay, Jazzie B and the legendary Trojan Sound System. With its state of the art sound system, dance floor, stage, bowling lanes, and best home made pizzas in town, it’s the perfect place to have an alternative night out. It’s also a great way to celebrate your Christmas Office Party.

DJs will be spinning vinyl only, with the very best in Soul, Funk, Boogie, Disco, Club Classics, Rare Grooves and a dash of Soulful house and Lovers Rock.

At only 24 years old, Hannah’s sweet and tender soulful voice has been called upon to work with numerous artists including: Leona Lewis, Joss Stone, Ms Dynamite, Lemar, Alexandra Burke and more. Now Hannah steps out on her own for her debut Album release ‘Means To An End’ after recently enjoying success at No1 in the UK Soul Charts.

CHARLENE
After causing a storm with an impromptu performance live on stage with Conya Doss at the world famous Jazz Café in London, Charlene has gone onto create her own material which is already creating a major buzz in the music world. Charlene will be performing her solo debut track ‘Second Nature’, for the first time, which is now available exclusively on the Soul Independence compilation CD.

Strictly Vinyl Sessions began as a radio show on Push FM in 2008 hosted by Carl Dennie. In 2009 Carl launched the Strictly Vinyl Sessions club nights at the Jazz Café in London, with the help of legendary DJ and broadcaster Gordon Mac. In 2010 Carl broadcast his Strictly Vinyl show live from the Miami Winter Music conference. SVS are very pleased to announce that the legendary singer songwriter JOSH MILAN of BLAZE will be joining us from the USA on the night to perform some of his greatest hits.

Josh Milan has been in the music business for 25 years during which time he has collaborated with some of the world’s biggest artists which include: Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Macy Gray, Jamiroquai, Lisa Stansfield, Babyface, Motown’s Vice president of A&R Timmy Regisford, Louie Vega (for his first solo album "Elements of Life"),David Morales and Frankie Knuckles to name a few.

With deep soulful melodies, Josh Milan’s blend of Afro, Jazz, Soul, Gospel, and the positive world views in his lyrics, makes most people compare his music to the likes of legendary Earth, Wind &Fire.

‘Hold me tighter in the rain’,is part of a CD Promo created for the Miami Winter Music Conference that also features a Michael Jackson remix and a dub version of 'Hold me tighter in the rain'.

Carl produced these tracks with legendary producer Ben Jones @ Mbj studios whose clients include: Chaka Khan, Busta Rhymes, Guru, EMI, Warner, Island records and BMG to name a few.

Carl & Ben have produced a 'straight mix' which keeps the original track more or less,untouched, save for the tempo and house drums, as they think that it is a great tune that stands on its own.

The second mix, Dub Mix, is for clubbers and will appeal to those who may not have even heard of the original tune.

The track has already received some great feedback from DJ's and Billy Griffin has a greed to release it as part of his forthcoming album.

Carl will be debuting the track during his Strictly Vinyl set from the Miami Winter Music Conference @ the prestigious Betsy Hotel, Ocean Drive, Miami Beach Florida on Wednesday 24th of March from 10-12pm Miami time, 2-4am GMT. The set will be broadcasting Live on www.pushfm.com
